BRINGING ITALY TO YOUR TABLE

There are many things that spring to mind when you think of Italy: tradition, love of family and of course, passion for food! We share this passion and although we’re lucky enough to spend a fair amount of time in Italy, we wanted to be able to enjoy the delicious flavours and share the authentic specialities back home too. And so, Arden & Amici was born.

Amici is Italian for friends and our Amici are at the heart of what we do, from the entwined A’s, English Oak and Italian Olive branches in our logo, to the food itself. We’ve made great friends with generations of local Italian bakers, who have generously shared with us their history and their homes, their families and their food, their traditional baking methods and choice of quality ingredients.

Italian cuisine is rich and varied but nothing beats their sweet artisanal delights, quite literally la dolce vita! From our time spent together with our Amici, we have crafted a range of authentic Italian biscuits and bakery, capturing the devotion Italians have to their food and keeping their traditions alive. All our products are made with passion in Italy, and they are best enjoyed as the Italians do – around a table with family and friends!

OUR WONDERFUL AMICI

THE D'AMARIO FAMILY

Atri

Deep in the heart of the Abruzzo region our friend Danilo's family has been baking speciality cakes and biscuits for over 50 years. Their beautiful bakery is still very much a family affair, run by Danilo and his sisters, but no biscuit leaves unchecked by their Mamma, which is why we trust our almond Cantuccini will be delicious every time.

THE DIGENNARO FAMILY

Turin

Our Panettone originates from a small bakers' shop in Turin and was first made in the early 60s by friends Vincenzo, Antonio and Bruno. After building their first bakery in an old convent, their Panettone soon became a firm favourite throughout Italy and across the globe. The business is now run by their sons and daughters and the passion for quality lives on as the next generation continue to lovingly nurture the unique Mother Dough as their fathers did for generations before them. You cannot escape the sense of tradition and pride running through this family business as well as their love of great food, wine and friendship.

THE LUCIANO FAMILY

Liguria

We first met our friend Engineero in the pretty Ligurian town of Sassello many years ago. He proudly told us all about Sassello, not only home to his family for generations but also known as the home of Amaretti. His family's bakery has been making their award-winning biscuits to the same traditional recipe for over 150 years and Engineero is never far away to ensure that the Amaretti they bake remain the best in town!

THE PAPI FAMILY

COLLE DI VAL D'ESA

We believe we have found the best of the best, a true specialty from Tuscany. Our Ricciarelli is baked to a traditional Tuscan recipe that's been handed down from the original baker to his son, Fabrizio who describes these little beauties as soft and chewy in the middle, with a melt in your mouth experience. If you like marzipan, you will love these.

THE BONOMI FAMILY

VENETO

Nestled in the beautiful Veronese mountains is the family's delightful bakery. When they began baking sweet biscuits and bread for the locals in 1850 they didn't know that their traditions and passion would be carried on so many decades later. Now in its third generation with our friends the three Bonomi brothers, their speciality is Savoiardi, otherwise known as Ladyfingers.
